Be our voice in your country

The World Wisdom needs volunteers from every corner of the world. You don’t need experience: only a phone, a little time and respect for the elders around you.

Your mission is simple: record one elder sharing one piece of life advice in their mother tongue, and send it to us.

How it works

  1. Sign up. Press “Become a volunteer” at the bottom of this page and send us your name, country and languages.
  2. Find an elder. A grandparent, a neighbour, a teacher: anyone aged 60 or over from your community.
  3. Ask for permission. Explain the project and ask if they would like to share one piece of advice. Ask them to sign our consent form.
  4. Record a 2–3 minute video. Horizontal, in good light, in a quiet place. The elder speaks in their own language and starts with their first name, age and town. How to film.
  5. Send it to us. The video and the signed consent go through our Telegram bot or the upload on the site.
  6. We do the rest. We add subtitles, publish the video and light up your country on our globe.

Who can join

  • Anyone, from any country, who speaks the language of the elders they record.
  • Students, teachers, travellers: anyone who cares about elders.
  • Volunteers under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian.

What you get

  • Your name credited as a country volunteer on the site, if you want.
  • A volunteering certificate for your school or university applications.
  • A chance to bring your country’s wisdom to the world.

Our rules

  • No video is published without the elder’s clear permission.
  • Be kind and patient. Never pressure anyone.
  • One piece of advice per video, no scripts.
  • Do not share private details such as home addresses or phone numbers.
  • Stay safe: record in public places or with a family member present.

Help with subtitles

If Uzbek, Karakalpak or another language is your mother tongue, help write and check the subtitles. Then advice spoken in one language is understood in any country.

For partners

We are glad to work with libraries, schools, youth centres, publishers and educational platforms: hold a recording day with us or show the videos to your readers and students.

Every country has wisdom. Help us bring it to the world.
