About the country
Kyrgyzstan is a land of high mountains: the Tian Shan covers most of it, and Lake Issyk-Kul lies among its ranges. Manaschy still tell the Manas epic, one of the longest in the world, from memory, and summer pastures keep the yurt and felt-making crafts alive.
